Book collection of the Circulation Dept. amounts to 210.000 volumes among which one can find manuals, course books, required and recommended reading indispensable for teaching. The following groups are entitled to borrow books from US Main Library:
- US staff
- US students
- US postgraduate students and those of doctoral studies
- Students of other state-owned studies Szczecin higher schools, on the basis of an interlibrary card issued by a library of a given higher school.
- all other people of 18+ living in Szczecin after they have paid the fee.

The library card or an interlibrary card entitles you to borow books. Both are issued by US Main Library Circulation Desk basing on a student's ID or a credit book and  ID, or US staff Id. To get an interlibrary card, one must provide one photo. The interlibrary card entitles the bearer to use all Szczecin libraries.

In order to receive a library card, one has to pay a fee of 2 zlotys, and 6 zlotys for an interlibrary card. The extension of the card costs 1 zloty per year.

The library identity card must not be transferred to any other person. Loss of Library card has to be reported immediately to library staff.

The user is obligated to return items on loan undamaged and by their due date. Any violation of the rule will bring about the consequences: the user's account will be blocked and a fine imposed.
