Zmiana wyglądu strony EBSCOhost spowodowała utrudnienia w wyborze bazy, szczególnie dla osób, które były przyzwyczajone do starej strony. Przy nowej koncepcji, aby dokonać wyboru pojedynczej bazy należy najpierw wybrać bazę spośród wszystkich baz ułożonych w porządku alfabetycznym. Wybór tej opcji spowoduje pojawienie się okienka, przy nazwie bazy, które należy zaznaczyć, jeżeli chcemy pracować tylko z tą bazą.
